When I was growing up, my Mom and Dad surprised me by putting these adorable little glow in the dark stars all over the ceiling of my bedroom. I’ll never forget the first time I turned out the lights and saw them – I yelped in delight.
When Mom moved in with me, one day, I returned the favor and bought a kit of glow in the dark stars and constellations. I snuck into her bedroom and did the ceiling. But, I had some glowing stars left over….so…
I found a great use for them! I put the extra glow in the dark stars around the edges of her dresser so that it was outlined at night. No more worry about her tripping into the furniture. I also added glowing stars on her night table so she could easily see where her glass of water was.
Glowing stars are a fun and inexpensive gift idea for the elderly. I’ll bet you they’ll talk to everyone about your thoughtful gift.
Note: You probably want to buy some extra adhesive (Sticky Tack – shown below) as reviewers note that, although the stars and constellations are beautiful, there isn’t enough glue in the original kit to adhere the entire set.
